Bagnaia regains six points from Martín

The Motegi sprint still did not offer a duel between Jorge Martín and Pecco Bagnaia since once again, one of the two was at the front and the other more in difficulty. While the Italian won, taking advantage of Pedro Acosta’s fall, the Pramac driver nevertheless saved the furniture after his poor qualifying. However, he saw his lead shrink by six points, remaining only 15 points ahead.

Winner of his duel with Marc Márquez, Enea Bastianini extends his lead over the Spaniard to five points in the fight for third place but remains at a distance from Martín, with a delay of 72 units. Behind them, Acosta remains fifth despite his fall since Brad Binder also retired. The Spaniard is also guaranteed to end the season as the best beginner, which was only a sporting formality, due to lack of a rival, but now becomes a certainty on a mathematical level.

Maverick Viñales, Aleix Espargaró, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi complete the top 10, with a reversal of positions among the VR46 drivers. Fabio Quartararo remains 13th and Johann Zarco 17th.

As for the manufacturers, Ducati, already titled, is still ahead of KTM, Aprilia, Yamaha and Honda. The Italian brand also dominates the teams’ championship, with the official structure ahead of Pramac and Gresini.
