Netflix is preparing to launch the documentary series “Senna”, dedicated to Ayrton Senna, legendary three-time Formula 1 world champion. It will be available on November 29, thirty years after his tragic death in the race on May 1, 1994 at Imola .
Produced in Brazil, this documentary series “will reveal the personality and private life of the three-time F1 world champion, showing the trajectory of his triumphs, disappointments, joy and heartbreak. The series begins at the dawn of Ayrton’s career, when he goes to Great Britain to compete in his first Formula Ford race, and ends with the tragic accident at Imola in Italy, during the Saint-Germain Grand Prix. Entitled “Senna”, the series will consist of six episodes notably starring Gabriel Leone in the lead role, accompanied by Alice Wegmann, Matt Mela, and Christian Malheiros. The story will not only retrace the glorious moments of his career, but will also delve into the pilot’s personal life, exploring his ups and downs, and thus revealing the true face of the legendary pilot.
