Frédéric Meister is originally from Montpellier. He has always been a cook. After his studies, he came to Lozère in 2013. Initially, he was hired at the Hôtel de France in Chaudeyrac. In recent years, he was kitchen manager at the Nostr'oustaou nursing home. He is well known in the region. He is in a relationship with Lucie Daudet. They have two children and they live in Grandrieu.
When rumors circulated in the village that the Daudet was going to be sold, the idea of setting up his own business gained ground. He bought part of the building and renamed it Daudet bar restaurant. He gave it a facelift. After the work, the business opened its doors on Sunday January 5.
That day, only the bar was in service. The next day, the restaurant offered its first menus. He cooks family and traditional meals. During the week, a working menu is served. From Friday evening until Sunday noon, it's à la carte, with several choices. The boss hires a waitress, Cloé.
For the record, several years ago the bar belonged to Lucie Daudet's family.
-The restaurant is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, at noon ; Friday and Saturday, noon and evening. The establishment is closed on Wednesday, all day, and Sunday afternoon. The bar opens from 7 h 30 to 14 h 30 and 17 hours at 8 p.m. hours, or even a little later. Daudet bar restaurant is located at 45, avenue Principale. Reservations are recommended for catering.
