“At the dawn of running our tenth Dakar, do we have as much enthusiasm as before the first?
Tenth, when you say it… I have the impression that the first was yesterday… But no, I'm not tired at all. I experienced a revival with Honda, after a superb history with Yamaha. I ride in a factory team and, above all, I got on the podium last year. Without it, I might get tired of chasing. But this result really allowed me to say to myself: ''You see, you've been working for years, you've come close several times and now you're there.'' It's a big boost of motivation to go look for the last two steps.
