Ferrari announces the presentation date of its 2025 F1

Ferrari is the first team on the grid to make an appointment for the official presentation of its 2025 single-seater. The Scuderia will lift the veil on which it will entrust to Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on Wednesday February 19.

This presentation will take place the day after the joint event organized at the O2 Arena in London and during which all the teams will unveil their livery for next season, which will be that of the 75th anniversary of Formula 1.

As tradition dictates, the name of this new Ferrari which will succeed the SF-24 is not yet known and will only be communicated in the coming weeks.

It will inevitably be eagerly awaited since it will be the very first Maranello single-seater driven by the Italian team’s star recruit, Lewis Hamilton, whose transfer to replace Carlos Sainz and play alongside Charles Leclerc had been made official as soon as on February 1, 2024. However, the seven-time world champion should be very discreet until then.

“We must be fully focused on the season ahead”insisted Ferrari director Frédéric Vasseur. “It will be a very short period between the first day and the presentation, and I want everyone to be focused on performance.”

“We have the championship presentation and the car presentation. These are two events and for me it’s too much, in any case it’s enough. I want us to be focused on development and performance, and not on the show.”

In other words, the stage is set by the French to expect a presentation where the key word should be sobriety. As for the integration of Lewis Hamilton, it does not concern his new team.

“He’s not the rookie of the year, I’m not worried about that at all”specifies Frédéric Vasseur. “We know there are a lot of procedures to absorb in a few days, but he has enough experience for that.”

“We have the advantage of having the simulator and we will be able to do a simulated race and qualifying there, and be fully prepared in terms of the steering wheel and the particularities of the car. I’m not worried about that, is not the biggest challenge.”

Winter testing is scheduled for February 26, 27 and 28 at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, before the 2025 season opens three weeks later in Melbourne, with the Australian Grand Prix scheduled for March 16. .
