Like the star Formula 1 commentator, Isabelle Ithuburu participated in a sport for road safety as the end-of-year holidays loom.
As the Christmas holidays approach, road safety is mobilizing. For several days, a spot has been broadcast on the various PAF channels to raise awareness among the French. With one slogan: restrain their loved ones and prevent them from getting behind the wheel if they have been drinking.
The campaign has become a classic at the end of the year and in the past, Estelle Denis and Jérôme Rothen have participated in different sports alongside Christophe Beaugrand, Elodie Gossuin, Stéphane Bern and Malika Ménard. And this year, it is Isabelle Ithurburu and Julien Fébreau who have agreed to give of themselves for road safety.
“When you care about someone, you hold on to them”
The two former Canal+ colleagues are filming in one of the spots alongside Norbert Tarayre and Flavie Flament, urging the French not to let a guest leave if they have drunk too much.
“When you care about someone, you hold on to them,” says the former presenter of Canal Rugby Club, who now helms 50'Inside on TF1.
In total, no less than 35 leading television and radio presenters participated in the campaign in order to “to highlight this crucial moment when everything can change, where we can still hold back someone who has been drinking.” “Because the lightness of these moments should not make us forget the reflexes that save, the good practices that protect,” specifies road safety in a press release.
As a reminder, alcohol is the cause of 29% of fatal accidents, of which 65% occur at night.
