The Andretti F1 project has officially changed its name following the team's proposed 2026 entry as the Cadillac F1 Team.
Last month, F1 confirmed plans to allow a new team to join the grid in just over a year, when new technical regulations come into force.
The plan was initially launched by former F1 driver Michael Andretti, who received support from General Motors (GM) which has committed to joining the team as a powertrain supplier in 2028.
However, the offer was initially rejected by F1 despite approval from the FIA - but Andretti was invited to try again in 2028 when GM was ready to field an engine.
The project turned into a 2026 entry when Michael Andretti stepped down as team owner. Dan Towriss took over and it quickly became apparent that GM's desired listing had received approval under the Cadillac name.
Official company records in England state that the company has now changed its name to Cadillac Formula Racing Limited. Until December 13, it operated under the name Andretti Racing Limited, the name used by Ferrari to confirm its agreement to supply power units for the first years of the project.
