Since the start of the season, the French men's biathlon has been a real chameleon. Able to shine shamefully via Émilien Jacquelin or Éric Perrot, this time it's Fabien Claude who ruins our day.
French biathlon can do nothing against Fabien Claude
Just a few hours after Sophie Chauveau's second place among the women, the men's sprint took place on the Hochfilzen track. And neither Émilien Jacquelin (3 faults) nor Quentin Fillon-Maillet (4 faults) seemed to disturb the supremacy of the Norwegians, imperial today.
But it's another Frenchman who's fooling us in Austria. Author of a 10/10, Fabien Claude struggles on skis to sneak into the Norwegian armada. With the third final time, he finished on the podium, just six tenths of a second ahead of Endre Strømsheim. Four Norwegians among the first five, and Fabien Claude had to come and join. Worthy of an irreducible Gaul who still resists Norway…
“It changes for me for just a second, and so much the better because I was a little fed up with 4th place” Fabien Claude
Too bad, we never got tired of it.
