Formula 1 | Bottas: There are people at Red Bull who don't like me

Valtteri Bottas was as shocked as those who messaged him to learn he was linked with a move to Red Bull… because of an error on the official store!

At the time of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, this shop began to reorganize the drivers according to what is planned for 2025 and the Finn found himself cataloged at Red Bull Racing!

This led to some speculation that he could perhaps join Red Bull as a reserve driver but that is not the case.

“Yeah, I got messages like, 'Are you going to Red Bull?' I said, 'Not that I know of.' And it started to multiply.”

“I finally figured it out and it made me laugh. You know, those are rumors.”

Bottas had previously been asked about the possibility of joining Red Bull given his past experience with Mercedes, where Toto Wolff had qualified him “sensational winger”.

He pretty much ruled out that possibility.

“As I said before, I feel like there are people at Red Bull who don't really like me for one reason or another. I don't know, but I don't think that That's an option. That's my feeling.”

“I don't really know what to say about it. This sport is fun, sometimes everything doesn't make sense. But, like I said last time, I know I could definitely do the job.”

“But they always focus on their junior drivers, because they have invested a lot in them in the past. So it makes a bit of sense, but I can't say much more.”

“I mean, maybe you could go ask them, if you can plant the seed there and tell me what comes out of it!”
