Formula 1 | Stake : A 'positive day' for Bottas, less for Zhou

Valtteri Bottas was pleased with a day finished in the top 10. The Stake driver is satisfied to see that the progress seen in Las Vegas and Qatar thanks to the developments is still being confirmed in Abu Dhabi for the Hinwil team.

“Yes it was a positive day, we had more potential in the last rounds and that seems to continue today. But it's very tight and we have to find more performance if we want to stay in the top 10 ” Bottas said.

“In both scenarios we looked like we could fight against our rivals, within the peloton, so that's good. Our short and long runs were good, it's a good base to build on. Points are my only goal this year. weekend.”

Guanyu Zhou had his day ruined by a mechanical problem: “It was a very difficult day with a lot of frustration because I had a brake problem all day. I couldn't stop the car but the time was not bad, and without the problem, I would have been in the top 10 like Valtteri.”

“The pace of the car is not bad. I think we will change half of the parts in the braking system, because we were hoping to have it fixed after FP1 but I spent half of FP2 in the garage. The pace is there, the brakes aren't, so we have to solve the problem.”
