Formula 1 | Haas : Magnussen is not happy with his 9th place

Kevin Magnussen scored two points for Haas in Qatar with a solid ninth place, but that's not good news for the American team on a day where Alpine scored 10 points and now has a five-point lead.

The Dane commented on his Sunday at Losail and he hoped for much better than 2 points!

“I'm really disappointed by the intervention of the safety car, it completely ruined my day and I should have had many more points!”

“Everything was going well and we had a good start to the race, but I wish the safety car hadn't intervened because it really put us in trouble. There is still one race left and we will give everything to beat Alpine.”

Nico Hülkenberg hit Esteban Ocon at the first corner then went off the track, and he regrets that Haas lost points to Alpine after this disappointing race: “Turn 1 was confusing, there was contact, I don't remember because it all happened very quickly. I don't know if I was hit or if I hit someone.”

“It didn't go well but I didn't have any damage. I was able to continue, I had a long stint, I was unlucky with the safety car and on the restart, I lost the car aggressively and suddenly It was not our day, we will try to do better next week.

“The performance was not bad, but we saw that it was close. It's disappointing, we missed an opportunity, we made mistakes, I made mistakes. It's difficult to accept and to swallow but we're going to have to regroup and start again next week.”
