Formula 1 | Hamilton: FIA moving in the right direction regarding racing rules

Lewis Hamilton has shared the views of his Mercedes teammate, George Russell (read here), on the evolution in the right direction of the directives and rules in racing.

Hamilton notably agreed that the problems stemmed largely from the different nature of each circuit on the F1 Grand Prix calendar.

Additionally, the seven-time champion praised motorsport's governing body for listening to drivers.

“What's great is just recognizing that the FIA and the stewards are taking the time to sit down with us and give us time to express ourselves on the subject.

“Tuesday was probably the first time we've had this meeting in a while at least. You know, things have changed, but I would say it's the best meeting we've had.”

“It's very complex to give strict rules because there are so many different turns, so many different scenarios. They don't have an easy task at all.”

“I think it helps all of us to sit down with them, discuss what they think, because in their minds this year has been better, or has been better in terms of consistency, but obviously everyone wants let it be perfect.”

“But until we have had those discussions so that they fully understand what we are looking for, what we stand for and what we think is right or wrong in certain scenarios, it is good for them to hear us and we were working on really clear guidelines.”

“So that, even from the car, you know exactly what you have to do to stay on track. We are working together on this. I think that, just from this meeting, we are definitely moving in the right direction. direction.”
