A true jack-of-all-trades in motor sports, the 23-year-old American will focus her 2025 program around the F1 Academy by joining ART Grand Prix with the support of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.
The F1 Academy is no stranger to Courtney Crone, as she had already lined up on a starting grid at Miami earlier in the season, and had also completed two days of testing at Zandvoort.

It was during the night that the announcement was made, while the entire Formula 1 circus is in Las Vegas, the circuit which will host the final of the next F1 Academy season. The time could not be better chosen to formalize the arrival in the championship of Courtney Crone, American driver, supported by MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, an equally American team. It is within the French ART Grand Prix structure that the association will therefore participate in the 2025 F1 Academy campaign.
Courtney Crone
Joining ART Grand Prix under the colors of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team is an incredible opportunity, and I am deeply grateful for the trust these two teams have placed in me. The legendary ART Grand Prix track record speaks for itself, and with them, I am determined to give my best to represent MoneyGram Haas F1 at every stage. This collaboration fuels my determination to push myself and reach new heights, and I can't wait to get started.
A start which will only be a continuation, since the young 23-year-old Californian already knows the F1 Academy. Indeed, at the start of the year, she was in Zandvoort as part of private tests organized by the championship. Later in the season, it was in Miami, as a Wild-Card, that Courtney Crone returned to the category. A relatively calm weekend, with a 14th place and an 11th place at the end of the two races, but which had “given her a foretaste of the challenge and dedication it will take to become a contender for the title”, explains- she said.
This year, Courtney Crone took part in a meeting in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American Championship, grabbing a few points thanks to an 8th place in the race. In the past, she had also won several scholarships including the IMSA Diverse Driver Development 2023/2024, the Gorsline Company scholarship in 2021, and the VMB Driver Development scholarship three times in 2017, 2018, and 2020. A journey rich in very numerous experiences, ranging from karting to dirt racing, on four and two wheels, including single-seaters, prototypes, and GT. A CV filled with around twenty different championships for a single title, in the 2018 Formula Car Challenge National Championship, an American single-seater championship.
Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal de MoneyGram Haas F1 Team
We are delighted to welcome Courtney to the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team family. (…) She is an ambitious and dedicated driver, which was crucial when we were looking for an ambassador for our team. We will provide him with access, support and learning opportunities within a Formula 1 organization, and in return we look forward to seeing another F1 Academy recruit flourish on the world stage.
