Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, driver for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1, had the honor and the chance to test the latest from Maranello, on the private Fiorano track. And yes, driving for Ferrari in gives you many privileges, such as having superb “company cars” to take you to the circuit during race weekends. Here is the example, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were able to take the wheel of the F80, during a private test carried out on the Fiorano test track.

The Ferrari F80 is an exceptional road model, boasting 1,200 horsepower, a top speed of 350 km/h, and blazing acceleration: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.15 seconds, and 0 to 200 km/h in 5 .75 seconds. Inspired by Formula 1, it has a “1+1” cockpit, evoking its close link with single-seaters.

Equipped with a hybrid engine from the Ferrari 499P, victorious at the 24 Hours of , it integrates turbo-electrification technology to optimize the responsiveness of the thermal engine. It also perpetuates the legacy of iconic models such as the Ferrari 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari, which embody the history and evolution of the Maranello brand in the world of sports cars.

A Hypercar close to an F1

After a few seconds behind the wheel of the beast, Charles Leclerc declared: “It's like a racing car, but predictable.” According to Carlos Sainz, his garage neighbor at Ferrari, the F80 is “very close to an F1”. For the Monegasque driver, it is according to him, “the Ferrari with the best balance (balance) that he has driven”.

The Ferrari F80 will be marketed at a price of 3.6 million euros including tax and produced in a limited series of 799 units. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2025, and production will extend until 2027, the year marking the 80th anniversary of the Italian brand based in Maranello.
