“His speed, his work ethic, his determination and his consistency – the length of his career and his high level performances can only arouse admiration.”
He added: “When it comes to Michael's legacy, however, I focus on him as a person rather than a competitor. It’s not about titles or trophies, it’s about the family he and Corinna have created together.”
“Their greatness, humility and sincerity say more about Michael’s values than I ever could.”concluded the current Mercedes driver.
Next season, Lewis Hamilton will join Scuderia Ferrari and will attempt the crazy bet of winning an eighth world crown in 2025. Since the departure of Michael Schumacher from the Maranello firm, only Kimi Raïkkonen has managed to win the World Drivers' Championship. Formula 1, in 2007. The last title won by the reds was that of the constructors in 2008.
Many drivers tried to win a drivers' title with the red suit, but they all fell short. We will obviously think of Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso and more recently Sébastian Vettel.
