Predictions for the final ranking in Ligue 1 according to Opta stats

It’s (already) the first third of the Ligue 1 season.

A third of the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season ended this Sunday, with the success of Olympique Lyonnais (1-0), in the derby against AS Saint-Etienne. Little by little, serious things are becoming clearer, the outcome is still far away, but the statistics from the specialist Opta are being refined or confirmed, day after day.

PSG, ASM, LOSC and OM still in the lead

In our last score taken last month, nothing has changed at the top, on the four qualifying places for the next Champions League; it is always (and even more than ever), PSG which is progressing, ahead of Monaco, and , even though the Phocaeans are ahead of the Mastiffs in the current sporting rankings.

The positions also remain the same behind, up to the final ninth place, now promised to by predictive statistics, to the detriment of Stade Rennais who are falling ever further down this hierarchy. Speaking of setbacks, that of HSC is as severe as the difficulties experienced by the Héraultais on the green rectangle.

The last MHSC in Ligue 1? Opta fears it with almost a third chance

Despite this Sunday's salutary victory at the expense of (3-1), coach Jean-Louis Gasset's men are struggling to convince; last they are in the sports ranking, last they will remain according to projections, at a ratio of 28%. This is Opta's fourth biggest certainty at this stage of the 2024-2025 season.
