Formula 1 | Ferrari: A 'disaster' in qualifying for Leclerc and Sainz

Ferrari had a very poor qualifying in the rain for the race which will take place later (at 4:30 p.m.) on the Sao Paulo circuit.

Like many drivers, Carlos Sainz made a mistake (during Q3). He crashed his SF-24 and now hopes it will be ready for departure.

“It was the first lap on intermediate tires and I clearly misjudged the grip.”

“Honestly, I haven't been very comfortable in the car in the rain this year for some reason and we were on the limit the whole session, so I didn't enjoy that one.

“We'll try to see what we can do next, but it's clearly a mistake and I'm not very happy.”

“The car should be ready for the race, unless there is something unforeseen. Good luck to the mechanics, I'm sorry.”

Charles Leclerc moved into Q3 but only set the 6th fastest time due to the incidents. The Monegasque is very frustrated.

“It was a disaster. I couldn't do a single lap without a yellow flag!”

“In Q3 we started early, but then I was 4th because our box is far in the pitlane and the tires got cold. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.”
