Formula 1 | Now sixth, Haas still wants points in Mexico

Haas performed well at the United States Grand Prix, stealing sixth place in the constructors' championship from RB F1. The American team hopes to follow up with a good result. Nico Hülkenberg greatly appreciates the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

“Mexico City is the second stop on my favorite part of the season. The culture is very vibrant there and the fans at the Foro Sol stadium are sure to make some noise, although they reserve their biggest cheers for Checo. It's a interesting circuit and another good challenge We will be ready.” Hulkenberg said.

Kevin Magnussen had his best weekend of the year in Austin and he expects a big challenge in Mexico: “Mexico is a fun city, a fun circuit and a fun event, with an incredible atmosphere thanks to the Mexican fans. The stadium section is a phenomenal part of the circuit.”

“The air is thin there, which makes it difficult to cool the cars, and aerodynamically it's a difficult circuit. I think we've had good and bad races here in the past, but our “The car is in good shape, so there's no reason why we can't score points again.”

Ayao Komatsu, the team principal, explains the challenges of the weekend and the challenges linked to the altitude: “Mexico presents a unique challenge due to its high altitude. The thin air makes cooling difficult and significantly reduces downforce. The circuit features many low-speed corners with heavy braking.”

“We generally have very low grip levels in FP1, combined with a lack of downforce, so it's a big challenge for the drivers and engineers to get over it quickly. After our good performance in Austin, we look forward to this challenge and another top 10 finish.”
