The image caused controversy in 2013. While Chelsea were trailing against Swansea in the League Cup, Eden Hazard lost his cool. The Belgian, who was playing his first season with the Blues, had an altercation with a local ball boy who was taking his time when he had to give him the ball back. Result ? Hazard kicked him, before being sent off.

Eleven years later, they met again. For the record, the teenager, Charlie Morgan, became an adult… and also a millionaire by launching his own brand of vodka. The photo of the two men, smiling, proves that the incident is far behind them.

10/3: a return through the front door to

Present in the northern French club between 2005 and 2012, Eden waited twelve years before receiving the tribute he deserved. But the wait was worth it since LOSC pulled out all the stops to welcome its child prodigy.

The Belgian was quite simply spoiled with a renowned pitch in his name, cups (and burgers) bearing his image and a giant tifo.

If there is something that characterized Eden during his retirement, it was his outspokenness and his sense of humor. The proof with an interview before his return to Stamford Bridge, where he explains that he wants to stay in shape despite his retirement. “I don’t want to be like Peppa Pig “. Or when he talks about a phone call with King Philippe, who tried to get him to return to the Devils. “Between kings, we call each other“.

26 to 30/5: Hazard tries his hand at the Kings League

At the end of May, Eden Hazard was one of the few football superstars who competed in the Kings League, this 7-on-7 football championship, created by Gerard Piqué. Within each team, we could find players who were not under contract with a professional club, YouTubers and other players recruited for the occasion.

Hazard was the co-president of Belgium, which played under the name Depostra FC, alongside Belgian YouTuber Céline Dept. Unfortunately, the adventure did not go as the Brainois would have liked. After two defeats against Mexico and Spain, the Belgians were the first to leave the tournament, not without frustration. Depostra FC, where Eden Hazard had brought his little brother Ethan, felt wronged by the arbitration.

If his brother Thorgan, who was injured, remained in the team car, Eden, Kylian, Ethan and Thierry wore the jersey of the Intermarché-Circus-Wanty team to climb the 21.8 kilometers of the oh so emblematic climb . The Hazard family got the better of the large percentages in Ventoux. Everyone managed to reach the summit. This also earned him the congratulations of Eddy Merckx and Remco Evenepoel. Just that!

26/6: a goal with Tubize-Braine… against Anderlecht

While the Euro was in full swing, a gala match was organized in Tubize with the reception of RSC Anderlecht, which was preparing its 2024-2025 season. In the Brussels ranks, Brian Riemer still could not count on Thorgan Hazard. In the 63rd minute of the match, logically dominated by Anderlecht bis, Eden Hazard entered the game, alongside his brothers Kylian and Ethan, thus wearing the armband of the Royale Union Tubize Braine. His touches of the ball delighted the 4000 people present on site. Especially at the end of the match when he reduced the score for the after having played against the purple defense and especially Théo Leoni. What followed was a delightful crowd bath where young and old alike snapped up a selfie with the star of the day.

28/07: the Belgian GP in the Red Bull pits

On the occasion of the Belgian F1 Grand Prix, we met Eden Hazard in the paddock of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, where he was invited by Red Bull. He was there with his family to experience from the inside one of the great prizes of a discipline that he has been following “for a long time”. Even if he didn’t stay for the entire race, the former captain of the Red Devils enjoyed coming. “Ihere in Spa-Francorchamps the atmosphere is truly extraordinary and the organization is just brilliant. It’s impressive to experience it from the inside and see how it all works.” he reacted to our microphone.

11/09: booed during a charity match

Getting whistled during a charity match, you have to do it. And yet, Eden experienced this treatment! During a charity match played at the Bollaert stadium, the stars of RC , Lille’s rival club, were pitted against a team made up of legends. The least we can say is that the Lensois public did not forget the Belgian’s Lille past and whistled at each of his touches of the ball. Despite a goal and a good performance, Eden Hazard was defeated by the local stars (6-5).
