This is a first. Formula 1 drivers on the legendary circuit of Nogaroin the Gersit has already been seen. But not in the type of vehicle they are going to drive…

The Paul-Armagnac circuit will indeed be the scene of a private test session of Formula E, the equivalent of Formula 1, but with an electric engine. It will be this Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Two world champions

And to test his machines, nothing better than the cream of the crop: two former F1 drivers converted to electric with resounding success. Two world champions.

Jean-Eric Vergne raced 58 Formula 1 races with the Toro Rosso team between 2012 and 2014. He is now a double Formula-E world champion (2017-2018 and 2018-2019). And he is the only one in the history of this federation.

Alongside him, we will be able to see the evolution Stoffel Vandoornewho was teammate of Fernando Alonso between 2016 and 2018 at McLaren-Honda. He is now the 2021-2022 Formula-E world champion.

Both drivers drive for the DS Automobiles Stellantis Motorsport team, which is behind this private test session.

A team with an unparalleled track record in Formula E: 105 races, 4 championship titles, 16 victories, 47 podiums and 22 pole positions!

All day

The public will therefore be able to watch the track laps for free from the stands between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This news puts a circuit with a busy news story even more in the spotlight. After the 64e Nogaro Grand Prix which was run at the beginning of September, more fun cars are expected from September 27 to 29 during the Fun Racing Cars. The opportunity to see arranged Beetles… Then it will be the Classic Festival on October 5th and 6thto see as many legendary cars as possible.
