Here is the list of candidates for the League’s board of directors

Five days before the highly anticipated election of the president of the Professional Football League (LFP), we know the complete list of candidates for the League’s board of directors.

Among these candidates, seventeen elected officials will designate the next president of the institution on September 10. A duel is looming: Vincent Labrune, candidate for his own succession, and Cyril Linette, have received the necessary sponsorships, while Karl Olive announced to L’Equipe that he had withdrawn from the race.

Seven elected for L1, two for L2

Nine candidates are candidates for the board of directors to represent Ligue 1 clubs: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (PSG), Jean-Pierre Caillot (Reims), Damien Comolli (Toulouse), Waldemar Kita (Nantes), Olivier Létang (Lille), Pablo Longoria (OM), Joseph Oughourlian (Lens), Jean-Pierre Rivère (Nice) and Juan Sartori (Nice). Seven will be elected, while Laurent Nicollin, president of the MHSC as well as the Foot-Unis club union, already has a seat secured outside the L1 quota.

On the Ligue 2 side, three men are applying for two places: Loïc Féry (Lorient), Bernard Joannin (Amiens) and Pierre-Olivier Murat (Rodez). Vincent Labrune, Cyril Linette and Karl Olive are candidates for the positions of independent members.

Marc Keller (FFF), Laurent Nicollin (Foot Unis), Philippe Piat and David Terrier (UNFP), Jacky Bonnevay (UNECATEF), Olivier Lamarre (SAFE), Lola Pierres (SNAAF) and Eric Rolland (AMCFP) already have their place among the seventeen.
