Ihar Boki, politics and gold medals

IHe will remain one of the stars of these Paralympic Games. With already four titles won in the Paris La Défense Arena pool, para-swimmer Ihar Boki will surely be one of the most, if not the most, crowned athletes of these ten days of competition. The Belarusian won the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke, the 100-meter butterfly, the 400-meter freestyle, and then the 50-meter freestyle.

His performances have made him the most decorated male athlete in the history of the Paralympic Games, bringing his total to twenty titles. He still has the 200m individual medley on Tuesday 3 September to make a complete sweep of these para-swimming events in the S13 category, which includes visually impaired athletes.
