Now a full-time road cyclist, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has revealed her program for the 2025 season, which promises to be busy, culminating in the Tour de France.
She made the French dream in July 2024 by becoming Olympic champion in mountain biking. In July 2025, it is on the roads of the Tour de France that Pauline Ferrand-Prévot hopes to unleash the crowds. At almost 33 years old, the Rémoise woman has decided to abandon mountain biking, where she has won everything, to devote herself solely to the road, within the Visma-Lease a Bike team, which she joined this winter from from Ineos Grenadiers. This Tuesday, on the occasion of the presentation of the season of her new team, in Spain, the Olympic champion revealed her program for the year, and it promises to be busy. “PFP” will begin its season from February 6 to 9 on the Tour of the United Arab Emirates, “simply because the roads are a little wider, it’s perfect for getting back into the peloton and being comfortable,” specifies. she in an interview withAFP. Then on March 8, the mountain bike and cyclo-cross specialist (she was world champion in both disciplines) will test herself on the dirt roads of Strade Bianche, in Italy. “This will be the first objective of the season. Afterwards, I will continue with the Alfredo Binda trophy in Italy and Milan-San Remo to try to help Marianne (Vos) to win,” she explains.
Vuelta and Tour de France on the menu
After a course at altitude, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot will begin a dizzying month of April, with the triptych Amstel Gold Race (the 20th) – Flèche Wallonne (the 23rd) – Liège-Bastogne-Liège (the 27th). Then immediately, she will compete in the Vuelta, from May 5 to 11. “I really want to get my bearings in a stage race, and prepare well for the Tour de France,” argues the French champion. After a little rest, it will be time to turn to the Grande Boucle, from July 26 to August 3 , between Vannes and Châtel. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is aiming for victory on the Tour “in the next three years”. It remains to be seen whether it will match its ambitions. “PFP” has not competed in an entire season on the road since 2018, and the level of women's cycling has continued to increase since. His last road victory dates back to July 2015 at the Giro. 2025 should be the opportunity to stop this shortage.
