Did Demi Moore snub Kylie Jenner during the Golden Globes?

This time, it was actress Demi Moore who created the surprise, in a sequence relayed by the Daily Mail this Monday and preparing, it seems, to go viral. The actress was, in fact, singled out by several Internet users for having “snubbed” Kylie Jenner during the ceremony. The latter having come to support her companion, Timothée Chalamet, nominated in the best actor category for A complete strangerthe biopic about Bob Dylan.

Discussing at the table bringing together all the actors and actresses of the film, Kylie Jenner indeed seems embarrassed by this moment. In the sequence, Demi Moore first rushes towards Elle Fanning, one of the stars of the film, to congratulate her, before objectively ignoring Kylie Jenner, and turning to Timothée Chalamet, whom she willingly takes in his arms. On social networks, uneasiness was also felt. “I feel so bad for Kylie, everyone there seems to have no interest in having a conversation with her”; “Did we just witness the worst snobbery of the year?” ; “The way she completely ignored Kylie… if it was anyone else, she would have been criticized a lot more,” we can read in the comments of the video.

Conversely, other users defended Demi Moore, pointing out only clumsiness and not any form of malice. “She didn’t snub her! Why do you persist in pitting women against each other all the time?” denounced an Internet user named @sallyeboulton. And another was indignant: “Demi doesn’t kiss him because maybe she just doesn’t know who he is!”

A first coronation

Surely it was, in fact, a simple clumsiness as Demi Moore seemed overexcited on this memorable evening. At 62 years old, and after more than forty-five years of career, the latter had enough to float on a cloud, crowned best actress in a comedy for her role in the film The Substance , his very first Golden Globe. “Thirty years ago, a producer told me I was a popcorn actress, and at the time I conditioned myself not to be entitled to an award. (…) This is the first time that I have won anything as an actress. And I feel so humbled and so grateful for that,” she said, in tears, in front of an equally moved audience.
