Carlo Ancelotti knows that his Real Madrid still have work ahead of them. The Madrilenians won 2-0 this Saturday in San Sebastian against Real Sociedad, in the framework of the fifth day of La Liga. But the Italian coach seems to say that this victory was well paid.
“It was a very complicated match that we probably didn’t deserve to win because Real Sociedad played very well. We knew how to keep our heads down in difficult moments and I salute that. The ball wasn’t released well, they pressed us very well but we always managed to find a free player,” Carlo Ancelotti summed up in a press conference.
“Physically we are not at 100%”
Real Madrid’s two goals were scored on penalties, by Vinicius and then Kylian Mbappé. Now it’s time for the Champions League, with the reception of Stuttgart on Wednesday at the Bernabeu. The Merengue coach notes in any case progress among his players: “Physically we are not at 100% but individually the players are progressing a lot. We are very happy because it was important to start this series of matches well.”
