: the Vélo Club du Velay wins victories and departmental titles in the Rives de la cyclo-cross

The most represented club this Sunday with thirty participants from pre-licensed to seniors, the Vellave club did not come to make up the numbers in Brives-Charensac since it won a good part of the victories and titles at stake.

Under a capricious sky alternating heavy showers and calms, the members of the Vellave club faced a circuit made very slippery by omnipresent mud.

Adrien Caron second in U11

Shortly after Marin Fink who won in U7 (Pre-licensed), and his two comrades Timothée Morell and Léo Noëll who ranked 9th and 15th respectively in the U9 (Poussins), Adrien Caron arrives as the first chance of victory in the Pupils category. And in fact, in the fight throughout the ten minutes of effort with his competitor from Golène Evasion, Adrien gave up a little ground a short distance from the end and was second at the finish. Behind Amaury Morell and Enzo Noëll finished 9 and 10th.

Alban Fink and Isalyne Schatz win without discussion in U13

Seventh at the first turn in the heart of the peloton of twenty-one units, Alban quickly climbs back into the leading trio and does not take long to seize first position after passing the boards. Firmly installed at the front, he will never be caught by his two pursuers and adds unity to his numerous victories this fall. He achieved the double, winner of the event and departmental champion. Isalyne Schatz is also departmental champion, placing sixteenth.

Arthur Prévost, Valentin Raucourt, Lubin Ollier, Lucas Arnaud, Antoine Chauchat, all less experienced in cyclo-cross, ranked honorable 9, 12, 13, 14, and 18th.

Elio Arnaud and Lysandre Schatz deservedly rewarded in U15

Authors of a great start our two members are one and two at the holeshot and lead the dance the first lap until the moment when Lysandre facing a mound makes several slips which delay him. At the forefront of the twenty-two competitors, Elio makes life difficult for his comrade d'Ambert who takes a few steps ahead and raises his arms after twenty minutes of an exhausting fight. Lysandre, back well, completes the podium. Elio and Lysandre at the end of a successful season seize the titles of first and second in the departmental championship. Nathéo Vidal, Maelig Gueguen, Enzo Anelli-Gislot, Lucas Giraud and Tom Gaultier, all very deserving, took 9, 11, 13, 17 and 21st places.

Antoine Bonnaud winner and departmental champion in U17

Benefiting from a lull, the 16 cadets start at 1 p.m. The day after a good result obtained at the Méons cyclo-cross, Antoine quickly took control at three hundred meters and will not let go. He will always increase his lead to win with a large margin over his runner-up from the Viennese Entertainment Club. He also takes on the title of departmental champion and thus, like his U13 and U15 teammates, puts a nice end to his cyclo-cross season. Jules Fray, Mathis Ranc and Timothée Voilqué finished 11th, 13th and 14th.

Léo Jouve one step away from the departmental title in U19

Good on his legs this Sunday, Léo made a lively start which put him at the head of the peloton of eleven units. Subsequently he moved into 3rd and retained this position during the 35 minutes of the race. Léo is also rewarded for his season by becoming departmental vice-champion. Behind Samuel Marin and Arno Morel cross the line 6 and 7th.

Course Open-Access

Setting out for fifty minutes at the 3:10 p.m. bell, in an atmosphere that was getting colder and on a course that was becoming less and less smooth, Laélien Faure, Alexandre Raucourt and Quentin Garrido crossed the finish line 16th, 19th and 23rd.

Cyclo-cross FSGT de Fraisses

On a greasy and slippery circuit Jérôme Vacher finished 28th senior this Sunday afternoon.
