In a festive atmosphere and on a magnificent circuit designed by the ECSEL (Étoile Cycliste Saint-Étienne Loire) worthy of a French Championship, the seven licensees of the Vélo Club du Velay present on Saturday December 21 at the Méons cyclo-cross faced with tough competition.
From 10:30 a.m. Marin Fink starts with the U7s (pre-licensed). Lonely in the heart of the U9 (chicks) peloton, he did not let himself be impressed and went up against some older competitors to win his category.

In the densest U15 (mini) peloton with 58 starters, Elio Arnaud and Lysandre Schatz will be in the top 25 throughout the twenty minutes of the race. Elio, who made a good start, remained in the top ten during the first lap but then regressed a little while Lysandre in the last line during the takeoff overtook several of his comrades. They crossed the finish line 19th and 23rd respectively.
Among the 42 contenders for victory in U17 (cadets), Antoine Bonnaud on the front row appears thirteenth at the first turn after the start. Invigorated this Saturday, he is already fifth per kilometer and close on the heels of fourth. He remained in the top ten during the half-hour effort and put in a good performance, finishing 6th.
Léo Jouve in the first fifteen during the first lap and a half, was the victim of a chain break which stopped him for a long time. He leaves behind and signs a very honorable 18th place among the forty U19 (juniors).
At 3 p.m., eighty-nine seniors, including three professionals, compete for victory during the 1-hour race. Cyril Arnaud will ride on his hand to grab 64th place out of 89 contenders.
