One year after the end of the Sojasun Espoir team, Noyal-Châtillon is relaunching a team focused on juniors

Noyal-Châtillon is relaunching a team. A year after the end of the Sojasun Espoir team, the Bretillian club is back in action. The training will be made up of 14 runners, twelve U19s and two hopefuls (Bretillians and Costarmoricans). It will be managed by Maxime Heulot and trained by Antoine Drouard.

“We gave ourselves a year to see what we could do,” recalls Maxime Heulot. We worked with my grandfather, Alain, we went to the races. We talked a lot with parents and runners, and we realized that many juniors found themselves isolated, without support. We have Vern-sur-Seiche next door, which has set up a beautiful structure and we said to ourselves that there was a lack of a structure for juniors. »

Always a green and white jersey

Among the twelve junior runners, ten are second year. “We chose the juniors because we had demand and these are the most important years. Development (starting a National team, juniors and cadets, etc.) will come if funds allow it. We want to produce quality,” continues Heulot.

The Noyal-Châtillon tunic, which will remain green and white as with Sojasun, will be visible on the federal junior races of and the Grand Ouest and the Open races. “We did not make a selection to find the squad. So we will also adapt according to the level of the runners. » The start of a new story.
