Preview 2025 : Israel Premiertech

Velo-Club continues its previews of the 2025 season with Israel Premiertech training. After VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizaneit is therefore a new Pro Team which is in the spotlight.

The Chris Froome enigma

This is the big enigma regarding 2025, the presence of Chris Froome within the squad of the Israel Premiertech team. Obviously not decided to retire from sport despite the lack of results, the four-time winner of the Tour de will therefore begin a new season among the pros. It remains to be seen if it will be the last, because we don't really know how long his contract lasts, and especially the conditions for ending it.

Still oldies, but great promises

If a few “old hands” still appear within the squad, it has become considerably younger. Among the runners that we will follow closely, there is inevitably Joseph Blackmore. Big revelation of the 2024 season, the British will only need to confirm next year. Just like his compatriot Stephen Williams, who has clearly reached a milestone this year.

On the French side, we will carefully observe the performances of Matis Louvelwho will try to revive after a complicated season.

Validate the rise to the World-Tour

Even if this may seem obvious given the points accumulated over the past two seasons, Israel Premiertech must still validate its rise to the World Tour. This will be done, because the advance is more than substantial, and even a catastrophic year would not allow Arkea or Astana to catch up.

Indeed, Israel Premiertech's lead is no less than 7,000 points in the relegation zone. And to stay in Pro Team, on the one hand the team will have to be completely in trouble all year round. And on the other, that Arkea or Astana finishes more or less in the top 3 in the world at the end of the 2025 season. Suffice to say that it is therefore impossible.
