Cycling: a Belgian Cycling star enjoys his vacation in his own way

After an intense season marked by numerous successes, including his world time trial title, Remco Evenepoel is not slowing down. Back in Belgium after a stay in the United States, the Belgian Cycling prodigy exchanged his road bike for a mountain bike for a friendly outing along the Belgian coast. Accompanied by his teammates, notably Tim Merlier and Yves Lampaert, Evenepoel took a ride of around 60 kilometers between De Panne and Nieuwport, as reported by RTBF. Although the grand tour specialist seemed a little less comfortable in the sandy dunes than his comrades accustomed to this type of terrain, his broad smile betrayed the pleasure he took in this adventure off the beaten track.

A common practice among cyclists

This is something we see often. Cyclists who, during the winter, leave their road bike in the garage to choose a mountain bike or a gravel bike, either to vary the sensations or because of bad weather. This moment of relaxation and camaraderie shows a different side of the Belgian champion known for his rigor. At the beach, no time clock or rainbow swimsuit to defend: just a relaxed outing to enjoy the landscapes and the fresh sea air. However, one question remains unanswered: will Remco Evenepoel participate in the Belgian Beachrace Championships, scheduled for December 22? The mystery remains.
