Léo Vincent and VC Dolois, it’s over. After two seasons as sports director, the last of which in N3 with victory in the Coupe de France, the former pro decided not to continue the adventure in the Jura club. “The office had difficulty planning for next year. The choice to move up to N2 was made late. Quite a few riders were recruited by other teams. I didn't want to be in N2 for the sake of being in N2. The idea was to create something and continue what I had put together. They were not necessarily on the same line. They wanted to stay on mountain biking and trials, without necessarily putting more emphasis on the road. For example, I was thinking of training an additional young DS, but that was not their vision. On recruitment, we were not on the same wavelength either. It’s a shame because we’re coming off a great season.”he explains to DirectVelo.
The 29-year-old will become a trainer for the company Ibex Outdoor, currently a benchmark in trail and running training. “Their goal is to open up to Cycling in the same way as to running by surrounding themselves with qualified and specialized professionals. My role will be to support them in this process while training runners within the structure.”. At the same time, he will take over the presidency of the Besançon Racing Club. “There are not many riders left in the structure which is as old as the Amicale or even older. I want to add a little touch of fun. I will take back some bibs to have fun, above all I will have a good running schedule as I will have a few weekends free.”
