At the head of the Vélo-club dunois cyclotourisme, Dominique Michel chaired its first general assembly, Sunday, in the panoramic room, in the presence of the deputy (Les Démocrates) Philippe Vigier, the departmental councilor Alice Baudet and the municipal councilor responsible for sports , Bruno Labelle.
The section will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025, by welcoming a large number of cyclists during Federal Week in August.
During the last financial year, the 43 licensees participated in twenty events and traveled approximately 160,000 km. Even if this total is lower than the previous year, the VCD still ranks 4 e club of the department out of twenty affiliates.
On the road, the prize was awarded to Nadia Courgeon who covered 4,576 km and to Laurent Borysow who covered 13,900 km with the ascent of five passes of more than 2,000 meters. Dominique Michel specified that there is a “cool bike” section for outings of 2 hours or 30 km maximum in order to integrate beginners or cyclists in the process of resuming. For 2025, the reopening of repair workshops is a priority.

After calling for goodwill to join the office, a vote allowed Claude Rouzier, former president, to join the existing office made up of Dominique Michel, Sylvie Pham Van and Éliane Lavie.
