It’s Yan’s turn to release his last words. Smiling from ear to ear, looking excited to start pedaling, he takes the microphone. “For my part, the decision was made on its own, as an opportunity that I seized to accompany my father. I am very lucky to be here and above all very happy. »

The big departure

Less than ten minutes from setting off on the road, the mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc, comes to conclude the speeches. “I came to express my admiration and encouragement. It is symbolic for me to be gathered here, at the Capitol, a place which is used to sporting celebrations. You are a source of pride for our city. So we trust you and I'll see you here, in June, to congratulate you once and for all. »

Yan and Thierry make their way off the stage and return to the starting line. A final hug to the family, unable to hold back their tears, before the final countdown. See you in eight months.
