. At 72, Marc Dangleterre wins a 9th world champion title

Eight and one makes nine! At 72 years old, Marc Danlgeterre won a ninth world champion title last week during the Masters Track World Championships at the velodrome.

The man who is a doctor of dental surgery on a daily basis won the 500 m with a reference time of 36”15, his “best time” since 2019. “When I line up, it’s to win”explained the Douaisian to The Voice of the North.

After titles in England, Australia and Portugal, this is the first time that Marc Dangleterre has won a world champion title at home. In addition to his 500m title, he also took fourth place in the team speed event as well as an individual final, beaten by an English track rider.
