A few hours before the men’s race, it was the women who competed in the men’s race. Three Valleys Varésinesthe fourth edition. A hilly race with 13 climbs and a finish at the top of the Salita Dei Rochi. An ideal route for climbers, and it is the French runner of the CERATIZIT, Cedrine Kerbaolwhich won this Tuesday in difficult weather conditions. The Breton was ahead Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ) and Liane Lippert (Movistar).

The race summary
The hostilities really begin on the penultimate ascent, notably with Juliette Labous (dsm-firmenich PostNL) et Liane Lippert (Movistar). In a group of around fifteen runners 15 kilometers from the finish, the young Frenchwoman Julie Bego (Cofidis) places an attack which is not followed. But the Frenchwoman was quickly taken over by Juliette Labous et Liane Lippertwho escape in pairs.
The three women reach the top of the penultimate climb with around ten seconds ahead of a group of around fifteen competitors. On the descent, the leading group is caught, two women attack with Cédrine Kerbaol (CERATIZIT) and Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ), as the group behind looks at each other. Kerbaol loose Silvia Persico in the last ascent while Liane Lippert chases after him behind. But the German cannot come back and Kerbaol raises his arms alone. Perch takes second place ahead Lippert, Labous et Bego are 5th and 6th.
