“I am proud”

After the last step, Max Poole said: “I’m really happy today! Getting my first professional win earlier this week and then winning the overall is a really special moment for me and the team. I’m proud of the way the guys raced this week , so I think it’s a well-deserved reward for us.”

The sports director of Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, Phil Westadded: “It’s really nice to win the general classification here at the Tour de Langkawi. We started today’s stage with the aim of protecting Max for the general classification and sprinting with Casper. We had some great days as a team, showing a good spirit of solidarity First, we kept the breakaway under control and neutralized it at the right time. We worked well on the leadout to position ourselves for the sprint. even though we were a little stuck, but we secured Max’s victory for the general classification, so it was a good end of the week.”
