Dutch cyclist Mathieu van der Poel added a new title to his impressive record by becoming, this Sunday, gravel world champion in Louvain (Belgium).

A new line to his list. Cyclist Mathieu van der Poel, double winner of - and very comfortable on difficult terrain, won the gravel world championship this Sunday, one minute ahead of Belgian Florian Vermeersch.

“It was a big goal for me, I had a lot of fun in another discipline. I am really very happy to end the season in this way,” confided the grandson of Raymond Poulidor, six-time cyclo-cross world champion, who competed in the last race of his season on Sunday.
