Cycling. Tour of Langkawi – The breakaway won… Manuele Tarozzi the 6th stage

Almost completely flat, the 6th stage of PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi seemed like it was going to end in a sprint again… but it didn’t happen! Indeed, two of the four escapees of the day managed to reach the finish before the peloton, and in Kulai, it was Manuel Tarozzi who won. One month after winning a stage on the Qinghai Lake Tourthe Italian of the team VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè gleaned his second bouquet of the season by beating, in a two-man sprint, the South African Stefan De Bod (EF Education-EasyPost).

Max Poole loses 1 second compared to his runner-up

The pack really narrowly failed this Friday since Arvid de Kleijn (Tudor Pro Cycling Team), winner of the sprint for third place ahead Manuel Penalver (Team Polti Kometa) et Casper van Uden (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL), crossed the finish line only 9 seconds after the winner of the day. As for the general classification, the Italian Thomas Pesenti (JCL Team UKYO) took 1 second bonus during this 6th stage, which allows him to return, before the final weekend, to 14″ of the Briton Max Poole (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL), still wearing the race leader’s green jersey.
