It has been four years now that the Selle Vous Plaît association has been organizing a bike revolution in Pontarlier. The 2024 edition will take place this Saturday in the city center and will thus close a week of movements throughout the region. Because the novelty this year is that several associations grouped within the “Collectif vélo Bourgogne Franche-Comté” are organizing a bike revolution over the same period. From Le Creusot to the Montbéliard region, via Besançon, several gatherings are thus planned these days. “The idea is to have more impact, to have people talk about us and our problems. And we have chosen a common message which is appeasement and which connects all the cities”, underlines Michel Jeanneret, president of SVP Vélo Pontarlier.

As for the schedule, it remains unchanged. This is a festive and militant event. “The bike route is in the city center and around to show that there are cyclists,” explains Annick Richerand, a member of the association.
The meeting point is set for 2 p.m., Place d’Arçon, for those who would like to customize their bike or simply chat. The procession will start at 3 p.m. with a circuit that should last about an hour. “We end at the Grand Cours with a little friendly moment and with the possibility of discussing the issues of the traffic plan,” concludes Annick Richerand.
