54 riders this year lined up at the start of the 19th Grimpée Beauzacoise – Souvenir Louis Lombardo. A peloton marked by youth with 16 riders under 16 years old present in the race.
On the race side, Julien Régé-Gianas, a non-licensed rider, created a surprise by winning brilliantly with almost a minute’s lead over his two pursuers: Cyril Fernandez and the young Beauzac hopeful, Jules Sauzet, the outgoing winner. A great performance when you know the pedigree of the two men completing the podium.
In the women’s race, Kathy Ronin-Chabannes won the event with an excellent time of 21’10.
