On which channel and at what time can you watch the party at the Stade de France?

ENTERTAINMENT – The Paris 2024 Games are over. After fifteen days of Olympics, ten days of Paralympic Games, and hundreds of gold, silver and bronze medals, the door closes this Sunday, September 8 with the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games. It was once again imagined by Thomas Jolly, and takes place, as for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, at the Stade de France.

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: What will the 100% electro closing ceremony look like?

Around 80,000 people will attend what has been designed as a “huge electro party” in Saint-Denis. And viewers will also be able to dance in their living rooms: like previous ceremonies, France 2 will broadcast the entire ceremony live. The dedicated broadcast is scheduled to begin at 8:20 p.m., with a show that is expected to last a total of 3.5 hours. The ceremony will therefore normally end a little before midnight.

As for the opening ceremony on August 28, Daphné Bürki and Alexandre Boyon will be on set to commentate and explain the sequences as the evening progresses. And as for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, in addition to the artistic performances, certain essential moments are planned such as the parade of para-athletes from each participating country, the official speeches, but also the extinguishing of the cauldron and the passing of the Paralympic flame to the teams of Los Angeles 2028, the next host city of the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games.

Jean-Michel Jarre, Martin Solveig…

The rest of the evening will be dedicated to what Thomas Jolly has conceived as ” a huge party “. The artistic director, supported by the composer Victor le Masne, have thus imagined new surprises for the public, including a one-hour tableau dedicated to electronic music on the theme of “the passage of the wave”. It will bring together 24 names from the French electro scene, from the best known like Cassius, Martin Solveig and Jean-Michel Jarre, to the more “niche” like Irène Drésel or Agoria. There will also be dance performances as well as a unique light show.

As a reminder, just over 17 million people watched the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on August 11, a ceremony that featured a “golden traveler” and Tom Cruise. The opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games on August 28 attracted 10.17 million French viewers: ten times more than at the previous Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Will the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games do even better?
