On Friday, August 30, shortly before midnight, police were called to an apartment dispute in this small town of less than 15,000 people. When they arrived, they discovered the lifeless body of 21-year-old Kara Welsh.

According to the police report, Kara Welsh had “multiple gunshot wounds” and was with a 23-year-old man at the time of her death.
