At Whitewater University in Wisconsin, faculty, students, and gymnastics team leaders are in shock. On Friday, August 30, shortly before midnight, police were called to an apartment dispute in this small town of less than 15,000 people. When they arrived, they discovered the lifeless body of 21-year-old Kara Welsh.
According to the police report, Kara Welsh had “multiple gunshot wounds” and was with a 23-year-old man at the time of her death. The man was known to the victim and it appears that an argument broke out between them before the shooting. The individual was taken into police custody, before being remanded in custody. He is being prosecuted for “voluntary homicide”.
