The president of the community of communes of Plateau Picard Olivier De Beule continues to mention the deficiencies in terms of health on its territory at each intervention. For the elected official, mayor of the small village of Gannes, this issue remains the priority for the year 2025. “The biggest challenge for health is not illness, but access to care,” he insists. he. And to mention the dental care center, set to become a more general care center.
“Concrete proposals”, soon
In the meantime, and despite some hiccups, the dental part of the structure must continue to develop. “Today we have a team of five people, which should expand further in the coming weeks,” explains Olivier De Beule. “It is made up of two dentists, two dental assistants and a secretary. This allowed 684 people, the majority of whom were over 60 and therefore less mobile, to be treated locally.”
But the intercommunal health center cannot become the panacea for medical desertification. Olivier De Beule is worried about the possible departure of liberals. “I am thinking in particular of the planned disappearance of the administrative structure of the multi-professional health center of Saint-Just-en-Chaussée,” continues the president of Plateau Picard. “It could result in the departure of several professionals. The departure of a caregiver has many other repercussions than just their absence: social, societal and economic.” The manager assures that “concrete proposals will be made to community elected officials. They will aim to guarantee that this building, built by the CCPP to accommodate health professionals, will continue to accommodate them for a long time.”

Olivier De Beule recalls that the community of communes of Plateau Picard has taken, in 2024, a battery of measures in this area. With significant aid for installation, or even aid for studies in exchange for future compensation. “I hope that in this area our attractiveness policy will begin to bear fruit,” the person concerned wants to believe.
