The City of Mimizan, in association with the Landes Departmental Media Library, is offering Polar Month, from January 21 to February 21, 2025 at the municipal media library.

For one month, an exhibition will be held, “Film noir, a question of atmosphere”. Saturday January 25, from 5:30 p.m., a “Massacre at the Library” investigation evening is planned. During the library's closing hours, the “villains” of literature magically emerge from the books of which they are the heroes and several misdeeds are committed. Like a board game, participants must retrieve clues and, following deduction work, designate the culprit(s). An event organized as part of Reading Nights (registration required on 05 58 09 42 97).

Meeting and theater

Saturday 1is February, from 3 to 6 p.m., there will be a special polar board game afternoon with As2PiK. Saturday February 8 at 10 a.m., the “P'tit Café” will be held, a presentation of new crime novels by the Lacoste bookstore in Mont-de-Marsan. Wednesday February 19, a meeting with Sébastien Vidal is planned, in partnership with the Landes Departmental Media Library.

The Parnasse municipal theater is joining the event by presenting a contemporary play, by the Panorama Company, with the feel of a detective series, “Denali” (four nominations for the Molières 2024), on Saturday February 15 at 8:30 p.m. It is a detective thriller based on a true story, a dark and captivating investigation that plunges us into the idleness of youth.
