The very recent retiree Mark Cavendish becomes ambassador of Santos Tour Down Under 2025. The Isle of Man missile announced it on social networks. The record holder for stage victories on the Tour de France should have a busy schedule for his first year as a non-cyclist. So he will take part in the entire Australia Day, starting with the three-day women's stage race on January 17, 2025, with the men's race starting two days after the women's race finishes. The role of Mark Cavendish is not exactly known, but with this ambassador status, the “Cav” will likely be invited to the sendoff ceremony and then to several community events throughout the two weeks.

And to celebrate it from the start of the women's race on January 17 until the finish on January 26. It's going to be an incredible festival.”concludes Mark Cavendish.
