An unusual encounter
Luis Enriqueknown for his rigor and tactical approach on the football field, shared his admiration for cycling, a sport he has followed closely for years. This demanding discipline, where endurance, strategy and team spirit are essential, finds echoes in his coaching philosophy. For their part, the members of the Groupama-FDJ discussed the parallels between the two sports, highlighting common values such as surpassing oneself, effort management and the quest for performance.
This meeting was also an opportunity to recall the historical link between Paris and cycling. Between 1905 and 1967, the Parc des Princes, the emblematic stadium of PSGwelcomed 52 arrivals from Tour de Francemarking the golden age of French cycling with 26 French victories. Today, although the Park is the scene of major football events, this partnership with Groupama-FDJ revives the capital's cycling heritage and shows that sport, regardless of its discipline, unites around universal values.
