Saturday November 23, President Christian Cochard opened the general assembly of the Nueil-les-Aubiers cyclo-MTB association by presenting the activities carried out in 2024, for the club which has 70 members including five women.
In February, club walk; in May, 120 kilometer blonde minute outing, and retired cyclists' day (the 30th) towards Olonne-sur-Mer. For mountain bikers, orienteering in June and 6 hours of mountain biking at La Jubaudière. An outdoor outing took the athletes to Trèbes for three days in June.
Members of the association also actively participated as marshals in the Tour des Deux-Sèvres time trial and the September hike brought together 224 walkers, 82 mountain bikers and 41 cyclists. All these events will be repeated next year.
The outgoing third party was then elected as follows: René Denis, Claire Gennete, Claude Guionnet, Antoine Denis and Alain Vergnaud.
Six faithful cyclists
The end of the session allowed six faithful of the little queen to be honored. They are Jean Janneau, 76 years old, and Michel Desaivre 75 years old, attached to the club for 42 years; Charles Apparly, 75 years old, for 38 years; André Vivion, 76 years old, for 34 years; Pierre Châtaigner, 75 years old, for 25 years and René Denis, 75 years old, for 19 years. Cyclists who clearly demonstrate that Cycling keeps you in shape.
