“We want a diversity of cultures, ages and profiles”

A key element of the selection was the scouting program launched in December 2023, which made it possible to identify promising talents among nearly 800 candidates. Three of the seven new recruits for 2025 were chosen thanks to this initiative. The program included the “Talent Days”, organized in May 2024 at the team headquarters in Sursee, Switzerland. For a week, ten runners benefited from an immersive experience combining training, performance tests and personalized interviews with the development staff. Jesper Stiansen won his place in the 2025 squad during this event, as did Oliver Mätik et Diego Casagrande.

Boris Ziminehead of the development team Tudoris enthusiastic about the direction taken by the Swiss team: “We have built this team around our development philosophy, focusing on riders with potential to exploit to prepare them for the professional level. We want a diversity of cultures, ages and profiles. Rather than assigning them specific roles, we encourage them to try everything to discover their true potential, while building team spirit”.
