Cycling. Étoile de Bessèges – The route of the 2025 edition… return from Mont Bouquet

We know the journey ofStar of Bessèges – Tour du 2025 ! The first French stage race on the calendar will celebrate its 55th edition from February 5 to 9, and the organizers have revealed the route for these five days of racing, with classics… and a highly anticipated return. As is often the case, the Gard event offers an indecisive and varied route.our sprint, valleys, time trials… and a finish at the top of the Mount Bouquet. Except this brand return after an absence in 2024, the rest of the race remains similar to the 2024 edition, with a start given from Bellegarde, a 3rd stage around Bessèges, and the famous final time played on Sunday at Alès, with l’Hermitage as a justice of the peace.

A climber to succeed Mads Pedersen?

If the title holder Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek), announced again at the start in 2025, should be the favorite during the first three days, the Dane will have a hard time achieving the double with a decisive final weekend and much tougher than this year. Mont Bouquet and its 4.6 kilometers at more than 9% should be right for its ambitions for the general and make the 4th stage the queen stage of this edition, before the usual highlight of the show in Alès and at the summit of the Hermitage after a time of just over 10 kilometers.
