Still on cloud nine, Marc Hirschi wins the Coppa Agostoni ahead of the French Romain Grégoire and Paul Lapeira

Hirschi thus won his ninth victory of the season, his sixth since August. In the last kilometer, after an acceleration from Aranburu, Lapeira tried to start the sprint from afar, at 300 m, but Hirschi had enough reserve to win with a bike lead over Grégoire. The Swiss puncher launched the winning breakaway by accelerating 40 km from the finish, on the last climb of the day towards Lissolo, only followed by three riders.
